Seven steps toward Recovery
HOW IT WORKS
It is not:
- a series of counseling sessions,
- putting your heart, your mind or your problems in the hands of a guru or expert
- a 'hot seat' situation in which you have to share your troubles
- in conflict with counseling or therapy (attendance actually assists the counseling process)
It is:
- gentle, non-confrontational and supportive
- an opportunity to share just what you want to (and no more), just when you want to (and not before)
- an opportunity to listen to others who have also suffered loss
- a safe environment in which to make friends
- a way of learning about grief and how to live beyond the hard times
- a process which helps clear your own mind and make your own decisions
THE WORKSHOP PROGRAM
Seven meetings following a step by step program which participants work with at
their own pace
Each meeting: 2.5 hours, a rhythm of input and sharing, and a time for refreshments
Each meeting: two video segments - a 30 minute core segment and a 5 minute close.
